23.1 Carat Burmese Ruby (&) Diamond Ring

The Worlds largest and most exquisitely faceted ruby, A 23.1 carat gem, is now on display at the Smithsonian Institution's National Gem and Mineral collection in Washington, D.C.

The dazzling diamond and ruby ring was a gift from Peter Buck, founder of the Subway Sandwich chain in honor of his late wife.

a ring that huge has to b hard on the finger.it is awsome though.

The ring looks awesome but I agree it would be hard to wear it,especially for someone like me,who has very small fingers:)
It was a very nice gesture for Mr.Buck to donate something of this value to the Museum,but thanks to his generosity many people can admire not only this stunning ring,but also his everlasting love for his late wife.It is very personal and very touching for me.

Things such as this are great and beautiful to see, but with our own country in debt it should be sold to the highest bidder along with the other artifacts to help get our country back on its feet where it should be and bring back the jobs that have been sent to China and products received back to us as contaminated. The government has doomed us all. "Wake up America" Yeah! its nice to help if you have it to do with. Charity begins at home...
