Zales Diamonds Has Disappointing Year
Following a lackluster year (fiscally) for the Zales Diamond Corp., Mary Forte, the company's president and chief executive officer resigned recently.

Forte, a retail veteran who joined the chain in 1994 as president of Gordon's Jewelers was president of the company since August 2002.
Zales has described its sales figures over the past year as disappointing, and the chain has closed 29 Baily Banks & Biddle stores as part of its shift designed to move its national brand into the upscale arena, and cut back on its sales events.

Maybe people are starting to realize that with a bit of homework there is far better quality diamonds and jewelry to be had out there at prices that are just as competitive.......

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Count me as one more person surpr ised that you did notinclude pepsi around the ??worst??? l ist as well as acknowledge their redesign.Other distinct comments. The new Pfizer logo looks sloppy and careless to me. The blue clearspace about the wordmark is uneven. I just like the concept, however the execution is unhealthy. The outdated 1 is tighter.I do notunderstand what you like superior regarding the new Guitar Hero logo. The detrimental room in between the letters helps make it nearly extremely hard to examine for me.As for El Banco Deuno, I do notget it whatsoever. The line breaks seem fully jarring to me and remind me of a logo I did for my s ister is line of crafts when I was about 15 (it was the phrase pollywogs??? on two lines, which has a hyphen?- ugh).Ultimately, I would like to determine your l ist of Identities which are in desperate need of a redesign. My #1 pick would be Verizon.

For what its worth, the layout is absolutely amazing. You know the way to balance writing and images/videos. However, I cant get over how little you truly bring to light here. I feel that everyones said the exact same thing that youve said over and over again. Dont you believe its time for some thing a lot more?

What I wouldnt give to have a debate with you about this. You just say so numerous issues that come from nowhere that Im fairly certain Id have a fair shot.
