Thailand & The Diamond Industry
The news in today regarding the coup staged in Thailand by the army loyal to the king (whose name I cannot pronounce so I wont try to spell it either...), may have some very interesting consequences and short term (at the very least) impact on/for the diamond industry in general.
Why?
Did you know that Thailand imported some $38 million worth of diamonds from the United States in 2005, while exporting some $110 million worth of diamonds to the United States.
In general the (jewelry industry) trading markets in Thailand can be categorized into six groups: Diamonds, colored stones, synthetic stones, jewelry, costume jewelry, and miscellaneous categories, with jewelry making up 46 percent of the market's total sales, followed by diamonds at 27 percent.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Count me as another human being surpr ised which you did notinclude pepsi around the ??worst??? l ist or even acknowledge their redesign.Other specific comments. The brand new Pfizer logo looks sloppy and careless to me. The blue clearspace all-around the wordmark is uneven. I such as the concept, however the execution is lousy. The previous one particular is tighter.I do notunderstand what you like improved in regards to the new Guitar Hero logo. The negative room between the letters makes it almost difficult to go through for me.As for El Banco Deuno, I do notget it at all. The line breaks appear entirely jarring to me and remind me of a logo I did for my s ister is line of crafts when I was about 15 (it was the phrase pollywogs??? on two lines, having a hyphen?- ugh).Last but not least, I would love to find out your l ist of Identities which might be in desperate will need of a redesign. My #1 choose will be Verizon.
