Ebay Sellers ANGRY! at Ebay.

Ebay this week announced two policy changes that has so angered its Sellers that many have staged a boycott.

The policy changes are higher listing fees and most significantly the removal of Seller Feedback comments against Consumers that have placed negative feedback against them.

Ebay sellers believe that their inability to now counter undeserved negative Consumer feedback will put them at the mercy of spiteful consumers who post inaccurate and hurtful comments that will negatively impact their business and reduce their sales. Ebay, on the other hand, believes that Vendor feedback which is negative on an Ebay Customer will chase away consumers and reduce their business.

There are other biding sites out there, I use E-bay for buying and selling, plus a few others. There is a brand new one I found yesterday www.bidingspot.com yes I am the only one there for now, but I remember when I was alone on yahoo too. The trick is to spread out across a few sites and see what happens. Biding Spot has Free Listings for now, so I tried it!!

This new law is ridiculous. It's tough enough for sellers to be safe from online thieves, and now this!

Well folks I have'nt sold an item in 35 days. If other sellers would follow suit. Last year I stopped taking credit cards and paypals . Ebay owns paypals . Stop giving them the extra bang at the end of sales. If sellers would stop credit cards alone . You would make ebay instantly alter their methods. Currently people complain yet never really think of true solutions. I will hold out. I give ebay over 1000.00 ever month . If 1000 sellers can take a month off ouch. there are 30 million sellers. CUT OUT THE CREDIT CARDS THROUGH PAYPALS. USE BIDPAY OR ANOTHER VENDOR. HIT THEM WHERE THEY WILL FEEL IT AND TAKE NOTICE. WE DO HAVE CONTROL OF THE CREDIT CARDS SYSTEM.

Consumers are running away from EBay because they're tired of getting ripped off. All the EBay/PayPal buyer protection hype is . . . just hype. They will not stand by their buyer protection claims.
Aside from that, if the sellers are concerned about angry buyer comments - - maybe they should avoid pissing them off in the first place!
